William Hazelgrove shares the exciting and sprawling history behind the 1933 World’s Fair. He reveals the story of the six millionaire businessmen who beat Al Capone at his own game and of the city fighting for survival in the darkest of times while creating the shining light of hope called “The City of Progress.” Book sale and signing after the program. Registration recommended. This program is endorsed by the Illinois Bicentennial Commission.
